WDAA are pleased to offer access to the Shrewsbury Anglers Club
controlled length of the River Severn at Shelton from June 2018.
This is a quality stretch of the river regularly producing Barbel to 13lb plus,
together with large chub, pike and perch.
Night fishing is allowed at Shelton for a maximum of one night
only, no bedchairs are allowed, no sleeping overnight is allowed.

Directions; follow the satnav, into Shrewsbury heading for the Mount A458,
then there is a small parking area on the right side as you enter Shelton lane.
Follow the public footpath down the steps to the river, the length
starts where the trees end to the right. If the parking area is full try to find a grass
verge nearby and do not obstruct traffic or residents

The river can rise and fall quickly. Bear this in mind when choosing a swim.
Pay attention to the weather forecast and check the current river level here before you go fishing.

All anglers fishing the association pools and rivers, have the right ,whenever questioned by a bailiff of the association, to request that the bailiff also is able to show his/her card. If any members are asked to leave the water for whatever reason by a bailiff and he/she fails to produce a valid bailiff card please contact a member of the fishery management team or comittee.
