THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS FROM THE WDAA WATER MANAGEMENT

8/2/2019
Rookerypool---unfortunately WDAA has lost the fishing rights to Rookery pool. This has been ongoing for a number of months, however this week the lock was changed on the gate without WDAA's knowledge. The WDAA was due for lease renewal mid year 2018. Vale Royal Abbey received a counter offer from an individual who was a friend of a member of the staff at VRA, which included a number of other benefits including tree surgery at a discounted rate. WDAA submitted a further offer with a number of added benefits. Unfortunately VRA have decided to offer the lease to the individual syndicate. This was nothing to do with money.

IN EFFECT THIS MEANS WDAA MEMBERS NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS
TO FISH THE POOL, AN UN GENTLEMANLY WAY TO END
THE ASSOCIATIONS LEASE . THE ASSOCIATION IS SORRY FOR THE
MEMBERS THAT FREQUENTED THE POOL AND APOLOGISE FOR
THE LOSS, DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES MUCH BEYOND OUR CONTROL.

and similar fish. It is not being stocked with carp. Anybody found to be moving
carp into this pool will face a lifetime ban from the association and prosecution
by the EA under the illegal movement of fish.
